Passport (original)
Where to get: Issued by your home-country passport authority
Required: Original physical book — branches will not accept a phone photo or photocopy alone
BCA's Tahapan disclosure lists 'Passport, for foreign citizens' verbatim as the primary identity document for the foreign-citizen path.
Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas / Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap
Stay permit (KITAS or KITAP)
Where to get: Issued by Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi after your sponsor registers your stay
Required: Original card, unexpired
BCA cites verbatim 'Stay Permit (Limited Stay Permit (KITAS) /Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP)), for foreign citizens domiciled in Indonesia'. OCBC NISP accepts KIMS, KITAS, or KITAP as the foreigner residency document on the Tanda 360 Plus product page.
Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak
NPWP card (where applicable)
Where to get: Issued by Direktorat Jenderal Pajak (DJP) once you have an NPWP, typically registered before your first Indonesian-source paycheck
Required: Original card or printed NPWP certificate
OCBC NISP's Tanda 360 Plus page lists 'NPWP Card' alongside KTP for new customers. Foreigners without Indonesian-source income may open the account on passport plus KITAS and provide NPWP later if their tax status changes.
Indonesian mobile number
Where to get: Indonesian SIM card from Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, or Smartfren
Required: Active number registered to you, used for SMS OTP and OCTO Mobile / OCBC mobile / BCA mobile registration
All three banks send activation OTPs to an Indonesian number. CIMB Niaga's OCTO Mobile registration in particular requires the Indonesian number issued at opening.
Account-opening application form
Where to get: Bank-supplied at the branch counter
Required: Filled and signed at the customer service desk
BCA's disclosure states verbatim 'The customer fills out the account opening application form and agrees to the terms stated therein'. The CS officer at OCBC NISP also asks foreign customers to choose a base currency on the form at opening.
